The Samsung Galaxy A24 is anticipated to launch soon, and while no official release date has been announced, the smartphone's renders and specifications have once again surfaced online. According to reports, the latest Galaxy A-series device from the South Korean tech giant is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and feature a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and supported by a 5,000mAh battery. The front of the device is expected to have a waterdrop-style notch display to accommodate the selfie camera. The new Galaxy A24 is expected to replace the Galaxy A23.

For some time now, there have been rumours surrounding the Samsung Galaxy A24, and a recent report by Winfuture.de (German) (via SlashLeaks) revealed the price details, new renders, and specifications of the device. The report suggests that Samsung will initially launch the Galaxy A24 in the Middle East with a price tag of EUR 200 (approximately Rs. 18,000).

The renders of the smartphone reveal that it comes in three colours and has a centrally aligned waterdrop-style notch on the display to house the selfie camera. The Galaxy A24 seems to have a plastic frame and a triple camera setup at the back, without any camera bump. The power button and the volume rocker appear to be placed on the left spine.

According to reports, the purported Samsung Galaxy A24 could run on Android 12 and feature a 6.5-inch HD+ SuperAMOLED display with 1,080x2,340 pixels resolution, along with 4GB RAM, and an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. It is expected to have a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary wide sensor, a 5-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, there could be a 13-megapixel sensor. The device is expected to come with 128GB of storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. It is also said to pack a 5,000mAh battery.

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy A24 is expected to come with Android 12 out of the box, with Samsung's One UI 3.1 skin on top. The device is also rumoured to come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and support for 4G connectivity. There is no word yet on whether the device will have 5G connectivity.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy A24 looks like a solid mid-range smartphone offering, with an impressive set of specifications and features for its expected price point. The device is expected to compete with other mid-range smartphones from brands like Xiaomi, Realme, and Oppo in the market.

As for the release date, there is no official word yet from Samsung regarding when the Galaxy A24 will be launched. However, with the device's renders and specifications already leaked online, it's likely that the launch date isn't too far away. Samsung has a history of releasing its mid-range smartphones in different markets at different times, so it's possible that the Galaxy A24 could launch in some markets before others.
